The Kelpi Bone, Seaweed Dog Toys By Marine Kind

Marine Kind was created to redefine play and wellbeing, replacing plastic with nature through thoughtfully designed, seaweed-based chew toys that are better for pets and kinder to the planet. The Kelpi Bone is the first of our offerings.

Every Kelpi Bone is 1 less piece of plastic on this planet, and in your dog's gut.

Marine Kind's Vision

Marine Kind currently develops seaweed-based dog toys designed to replace fossil-fuel-derived pet products with renewable, responsibly sourced marine derivatives, without one bit of plastic in sight.

Pet came first, that's the industry we have grown up in. Next will come baby and homewares.

Our vision is to build a scalable consumer-products platform at the intersection of materials innovation, circularity, and pet wellbeing, with a focus on measurable climate and environmental benefits alongside commercial adoption.

Our Story

🌿 We are two sisters, Isabella and Marina, with a shared passion for animals, nature, and sustainability. We grew up surrounded by animals in the countryside and spent countless hours by the coast in the West Country of the UK with our granny, where our respect for nature and the ocean truly began.

Nature has always been vital to our wellbeing, for people, animals, and the planet. That belief inspired us to reimagine pet toys from the ground up.

Along with our mum, we’ve founded Marine Kind entirely from our own savings, earned through factory work, catering, babysitting, waitressing, riding horses, singing, and more, all while studying at school and university.

Working closely with an incredible supply chain, we’ve poured our time, energy, and belief into creating something meaningful.

Marine Kind is not just a product, it’s a promise to pets, people, and the planet.

We set out to revolutionise the pet toy category by creating a 100% natural, plastic-free dog toy made entirely from seaweed. Our goal was simple: a product that is safe for household pets, supports health, and eliminates plastic waste from playtime.

We believe sustainability should start at home, including how we care for our pets.

Marine Kind is our way of practicing eco-conscious values in everyday pet care, and we invite you to join us on that journey.
